Caroline Day

Enjoy !

Today I met the charming artist Caroline Brooks, who even performed a song for me ! As told in her bio on Facebook, Caroline was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, and fell in love with singing and playing the piano when she was about 7 years old. Her southern home was saturated with folk and pop melodies from artists like Paul Simon, The Beatles, Lyle Lovett, and Elvis. She attended the University of Texas in Austin as a Radio-Television-Film major, and later moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to pursue her career as a singer/songwriter. Since then, she has been touring nation-wide and collaborating with many songwriters, including Nashville-based songwriter Jim Collins (Kenny Chesney’s “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy” & “Good Stuff”) and young Disney artists represented by Selena Gomez’s manager, including a young favorite on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Noah Guthrie. Caroline’s sound is said to be similar to Sarah Bareilles or a female version of Onerepublic. Her first self-titled EP was released on iTunes last year, and she will finally be releasing a new EP this fall. Her new song “Parachute” will be featured in the movie trailer for the upcoming Kate Hudson romantic comedy coming out in the fall. Her EP has not even been released yet, and she is already receiving offers for TV, film, and commercial placements for a few of her new songs. She will be debuting her new material at New York’s well-known Rockwood Music Hall on March 22 and is excited about the release of her new EP and the opportunities that are already appearing ahead on the horizon. CHECK HER OUT !
